As is so often, an artist's true legend is only fully acknowledged after their passing. Just as if every baby boomer that claimed to have been at Woodstock had all queued for the bar at the same time then the line would have stretched to Mexico, those that claim to have seen Townes Van Zandt in the bars and clubs where he built is reputation would have made him bigger than Led Zeppelin.
