From the way the opening of Back In The Saddle builds to Steven Tyler's "I'm Baaaaaaaaack" through to what sounds like a raging hangover in the form of Home Tonight, Rocks is the greatest American rock n' roll album of the Seventies. Overstating it? Maybe, and so if not "the" then certainly damn close, but when you listen to Back In The Saddle, as I am when I write this, it is hard to think any other way.
