Despite plenty of hype and few false dawns, since Some Girls, there have been few genuinely great moments from the Rolling Stone. There have only been a few glimmers of their past glories, but it was as the 80s dawned, and the world seemed more concerned with synths than riffs, that the last Stones reminded the world exactly why they were still the kings when they released Start Me Up. The song that had been rattling around in Keith's jam sessions for years, but it was sure worth the delay as it remains one of their great go-to classics and a staple of their live set.
