What's Seven Seas of Rhye actually about? No idea. Not sure even Freddie knew, but so what when it sounds this fantastic? Only Queen could have written a track like this, let alone had the imagine to give us a preview of it on their debut before launching the whole thing on Queen II. They evidently loved it enough to reference it musically again on Brighton Rock, as well as on tracks like Lilly of the Valley. Different folk, have different views on the track, but to us Rhye sounds like a place we want to hang out - much like bars and music venues...
