Regardless of whatever went on in his private life, there's no denying what a brilliant film maker Roman Polanski was/is capable of being, while Jack Nicholson... what is left to say about the man? Any other actor and his turn as private detective JJ Gittes would be his standout masterpiece, but this is Jack Nicholson - a man that tore it up in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, The Shining, Reds. Easy Rider, Five East Pieces, Prizzi's Honour, As Good As It Gets etc etc etc. The most Oscar nominated male actor ever, so it simply joins the ranks of "yet another" brilliant Jack Nicholson performance...
