Had it been released by almost any other artist, Buffalo Soldier would almost certainly have been subject to song writing credit claim by the Barkan/Adams team that penned The Banana Splits, but such is Marley's integrity and importance to the world, even the greediest and most cynical publisher wouldn't take action.
