Not much can really be written about The Shawshank Redemption that hasn't already been said many, many times before. We can talk about it bombing at the box office or that while receiving 7 Oscar nominations it didn't win a single one (Forrest Gump? Seriously? Not even Pulp Fction, but Forrest Gump) so we won't bother. We've all seen it a dozen times, we all know how great it is, we've all seen the parodies and I'm pretty sure you get the  Zihuatanejo, Mexico reference without me patronising you by explaining it. In fact I think I might go and watch it again tonight.
