Wes Anderson films can often split audiences. Some find their whimsical strangeness endearing, others just strange. But throw in Bill Murray as the eponymous eccentric oceanographer, Steve Zissou, a cracking cast of Cate Blanchett, Willem Dafoe, Michael Gambon, Jeff Goldblum, Anjelica Huston, and Owen Wilson, and Seu Jorge as a Brazilian safety officer singing David Bowie songs in Portuguese, and you have one of Anderson's most endearing movies that has overcome bombing at the box office to become a cult classic.
