The word "genius" is so overused these day, but if I had to attribute it to just one person from their chosen field then Charles Dickens takes it for the novelists. While it seems ridiculous to cite any one particular work as Dickens' greatest, it is Great Expectations that so often tops influential and personal favourite lists - and it is easy to see why with it's wonderful characters & beautiful story telling. For our T-shirt inspiration here we go back to Pip's childhood and his first father figure, Joe Gargery and his blacksmith trade. Makes me proud to come from Kent.
