Jackson Browne started writing Take It Easy for his own debut album, but couldn't quite get it right. Then his pal Glen Frey heard it and added the missing mojo before taking lead vocals on it himself as the first single The Eagles released. A near perfect country-rock record, Take It Easy is the more innocent version of The Eagles that I first fell in love with. This the laid back Eagles, 5 years before releasing Hotel California as world-weary megastars.
