Elvis Presley made a lot, and we do mean A LOT, of films. More to the point, Elvis made a lot of really terrible movies. The majority have been thankfully confined to obscure American cable channels and fortnightly subscription-based magazines. However, there are a few notable exceptions... Kid Creole is indeed worth a view. Flaming Star, Loving You, GI Blues and Blue Hawaii all have their fans too. But the one that stands out is the iconic Jailhouse Rock. Not just for the titular setpiece, but because it is a really bleak, almost film noir-like movie that deals with the record business, betrayal and loyalty.
