I may not be the world's biggest Iron Maiden fan, but one thing is for sure, I have total respect for them and for Steve Harris in particular. You can tell a lot of guitarists simply by their style or tone - just think of the likes of Jimmy Page, Slash and Stevie Ray Vaughan, but can you think of ANY bass player other than Harris whose bass lines are so instantly recognizable, or whose band's sound is so completely defined by their work? A true titan of the metal world and by all accounts a top chap too.
