Given what an iconic signature song Roxanne is for The Police, it is often forgotten that it barely troubled the charts on release. The band were almost too embarrassed to play it for their then-new manager Miles Copeland at first, but its a good job they got over that as it was off the back of Roxanne that they were signed.
