Not sure why or how, but I never knew anything about Sammy Hagar or Montrose until Sammy joined Van Halen. Sure, I was heartbroken that David Lee Roth had gone, but Sammy Hagar could really sing. So I asked around, and someone lent me a copy of the first Montrose album. Holy moly, how did I not know about this? Bad Motor Scooter? Rock The Nation? Rock Candy? Good Rockin' Tonight? Space Station #5? Why on earth wasn't this taught in schools? Bad Motor Scooter may be the headline track, and our design for that has been up for a while, but Space Station #5 that always rocked my world the most and it's about time we did a T-shirt for it...
