I am really not sure how a story of how a man's selfless life lead to him attempting suicide became THE greatest feelgood Christmas ever. It should be awful. Hell, it's got kids singing Christmas carols in it. But it's anything but. I've watched It's A Wonderful Life more than any other film (yes, even more than Goodfellas and This Is Spinal Tap) and yet, without fail, I still well up and blub like Gazza in Turin whenever I hear "Hark The Herald Angel Sings."
