The earliest days of the band that would become The Beatles may have been fairly unspectacular, but thanks to interest in the band which even decades later shows no sign of abating, there is little about the lads from Liverpool that is not known. We all know about Pete Best and Stuart Sutcliffe, we all know about the Hamburg days and we all know that before they settled on the name The Beatles, they went through the Quarrymen, The Silver Beatles and Johnny & the Moondogs. Of those early names, Johnny & the Moondogs is surely the best, which is why we have taken it as our inspiration for this alternative to mainstream Beatles T-shirts.
