Friction between singers & guitarists has been there since the dawn of rock n' roll. Egos, musical differences, women, drugs, booze, money & control have all been blamed but ask those at the centre of it and the guitarist will say without hesitation "LSD" - no, not the drug, but Lead Singer Disease. Ask the singer & he'll tell you a joke "how does a guitarist change a lightbulb?" - just stands there & holds it while the world revolves around them. For the 80s/90s generation this was epitomised by the mother of all spats been Messrs Saul Hudson and William Bailey - or the great Slash & Axl to us fans. A boxing style poster seems most apt.
